# VPS

UP‑NETWORK provides high‑performance virtual servers operated from its Swiss datacenter in Gland (with a network point in Zurich). All plans include instant deployment, unlimited traffic and SwissShield DDoS protection. Billing is flexible (daily, monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual or annual) with discounts of –2 %, –5 % and –10 % respectively for longer commitments. Below are the three VPS series (BASIC, PRO and PERFORMANCE) and their configurations.

* **SwissShield DDoS protection** – local mitigation up to 20 Gbps and automatic rerouting to a scrubbing centre (1 + Tbps) for larger attacks.

## 🔧 Customisation & Options

UP‑NETWORK allows you to tailor your VPS with additional resources and services. Optional extras include:

* **Extra IPv4 addresses, additional vCPU cores and RAM** – available on all tiers. Pricing varies by series and is displayed during the order process.
* **Extra storage** – add more SSD space in 10 GB increments.
* **Scheduled backups** – daily backups with a 7‑day retention.
* **High availability** – automatic IP failover with a setup fee and monthly subscription.
* **BGP options** – Basic, Secure and Secure Dual‑Port packages for BYOIP and routing control.
* **IPv6 /48 block** – available on request.

## 💡 Fair Use & SLA

Burst traffic is calculated using a 95th‑percentile model; excessive usage may lead UP‑NETWORK to temporarily cap bandwidth at the guaranteed rate. Published SLA figures (up to 99.99 %) are targets; contractual guarantees require an explicit SLA agreement.
