# Network and BGP

Network solutions are operated through **AS213929**. The configurator distinguishes UP-Connect, physically delivered in Gland, from UP-Transport, delivered through a tunnel from Gland or Zurich.

## Choose the delivery method

| Service and PoP | Delivery | Advertised burst capacity | Protection |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------ | ----------------------------------------------- |
| UP-Connect, Gland | Connectivity for VDS, dedicated servers or Housing | According to the port and plan | SwissShield Basic included; Permanent optional. |
| UP-Transport, Gland | GRE or WireGuard | Up to 20 Gb/s | SwissShield Basic included; Permanent optional. |
| UP-Transport, Zurich | GRE, VXLAN or WireGuard | Up to 10 Gb/s | Automatic null-route in the event of an attack. |

One UP-Transport corresponds to one tunnel. Feasibility, committed bandwidth, burst, MTU and delivery time are confirmed during technical validation. Burst is a temporary capacity; it does not correspond to the billed committed bandwidth.

## BGP and your prefixes

Sessions use your ASN and can carry IPv4 and IPv6. Full Table or Default Route are offered according to your needs. Prefixes must be justified and validated; the absence of an arbitrary limit does not authorise the announcement of a third party’s prefix.

Prepare your ASN, prefixes, announcement authorisations and the requested routing information. Neighbour addresses, filters, communities and session parameters are those in the delivery documentation. Use this information to configure your equipment.

Resilience and BGP options vary by the underlying service: check the corresponding configurator. Former package names do not constitute a universal matrix.

## Provisioning

Configure the service on [the network page](https://up-network.ch/services/network-solutions), then the team validates delivery, addressing, routing and tests. UP-Connect falls under the guaranteed 99.9% SLA; UP-Transport is Best Effort by default, according to [the SLA policy](/documentation/en/infrastructure/service-levels.md).
