# Configure your email

Web hosting provides mailboxes in Plesk and Roundcube webmail. The collaborative Suite provides one mailbox per user, accessible with Nextcloud Mail or an IMAP/SMTP client. Server addresses are specific to your service.

## Web hosting

Create the mailbox in Plesk, checking its quota. Open the email client configuration provided for that mailbox and note the incoming, outgoing, encryption and authentication settings.

Then configure your application or use the webmail specified by Plesk. Do not invent a global `mail.up-network.ch` server for your subscription.

## Collaborative Suite

Use the settings provided with your organisation. The Mail account and the Suite’s shared quota depend on the delivered configuration. A guest limited to a shared item does not automatically have an email mailbox.

## Check sending and receiving

Test receipt from an external address and sending to another email service. If webmail works but your application does not, check the application’s servers, ports, TLS and credentials.

A certificate error must be corrected in the settings or the service’s certificate; do not disable validation to retain faulty access.

## DNS and authentication

MX records must identify the platform that receives your messages. Add the SPF and DKIM records provided for that platform. Check existing senders before changing a DMARC policy.
