VDS: dedicated resources
A VDS is a virtual server with reserved CPU and memory, available as Unmanaged or Managed. It uses KVM on Proxmox, with RAID SSD storage and 250 Mb/s of dedicated bandwidth.
Size your VDS
The configurator offers 4 to 16 vCPU, 8 to 48 GB of ECC memory and 100 GB to 1 TB of SSD storage. A secondary HDD volume of up to 8 TB can supplement the storage.
One IPv4 address and one IPv6 address are included. Options allow you to adjust the IPv4 addresses and IPv6 prefix, including a free /64. Use the settings confirmed on delivery.
Traffic is unlimited, with no fair use policy on the stated dedicated bandwidth. Delivery is advertised within 24 hours of confirmation; check the arrangements for your order.
Choose the administration level
You administer the operating system, software and firewall.
UP-NETWORK administers Linux within the agreed scope.
You have administrator access.
You manage applications and containers through Komodo; no client root access.
Linux, Windows or your own ISO, according to the service’s capabilities.
Maintenance, operating system updates, monitoring and 30 minutes of intervention per month.
With Unmanaged, the Windows licence is not included: provide a suitable licence. With Managed, applications and changes that remain under your administration do not automatically become covered by managed services.
Protection and continuity
The VDS page advertises included daily backups and a 99.9% infrastructure SLA. The Managed scope extends to explicitly administered components. Have the retention and restoration arrangements confirmed in your offer; the seven-day VPS retention must not be applied automatically.
Standard SwissShield is included; permanent protection is available as an option.
See the VDS configurator and SLA terms.
