# Dedicated servers

A dedicated server is a physical machine reserved for your use. The catalogue includes SMART, PRO and HYPER plans as well as occasional or refurbished ECO ranges. Components, options and stock are listed on [the dedicated servers page](https://up-network.ch/services/dedicated-servers).

## Stock and delivery

Stock available immediately and stock available on request are distinct. A memory, disk, network or operating system variant may change the delivery time and minimum billing cycle. An available base configuration does not imply that all its variants are available.

Check the delivery time and minimum period shown for your chosen configuration. The process may allow a direct order or a quote request. “Out of stock” must not be interpreted as immediate delivery.

## Network and addresses

ECO plans advertise 500 Mb/s of committed bandwidth on a 1 Gb/s port, with a 10 Gb/s option. Plans with a 10 Gb/s port advertise 1 Gb/s of committed bandwidth. Burst uses the port’s capacity, with unlimited traffic subject to fair use.

Included addresses differ: ECO lists one IPv4 address and an IPv6 /64; SMART, PRO and HYPER list five IPv4 addresses and an IPv6 /64. The configurator and your offer specify the applicable options.

## Administration and continuity

You administer the operating system unless you have a managed services contract. Console, iLO or iDRAC access and reinstallation options depend on the hardware and the access details delivered; the VMmanager process for VPS instances does not apply to a physical server.

The **guaranteed 99.9% SLA** applies to the scope defined by the offer. Standard SwissShield is included. Check backups and permanent protection options separately.
